Android App Programming Workshop Successfully Concludes

M.A strongly believes that education is a fundamental right, and we are committed to bridging the digital divide for Afghan refugees, migrants, and girls deprived of formal schooling in Afghanistan

Mohajir Academy is proud to announce the successful completion of the Android App Programming Workshop, which has now reached its planned objectives. This workshop, designed to provide practical skills and knowledge in Android programming, was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Mostafa Hosseini and brought together a diverse group of students. Participants included girls from inside Afghanistan, as well as Afghan migrants and refugees residing in Iran, who often face significant barriers to accessing education.

The workshop commenced on March 1, 2025, and concluded on March 27, 2025, covering key topics in Android development. Over nearly a month, students engaged in hands-on learning, gaining essential programming skills and becoming well-acquainted with the benefits and methods of Android programming. The curriculum focused on understanding mobile app development, coding in Java and Kotlin, working with Android Studio, and building interactive applications.

This initiative was particularly valuable for Afghan girls and migrants, who often lack opportunities to learn technical skills due to legal, financial, or societal constraints. The workshop created a collaborative and inclusive learning environment, enabling students to work on projects, ask questions, and receive direct mentorship from an experienced instructor. By the program’s end, participants had acquired technical skills and the confidence to pursue further learning and careers in technology.

The importance of Android programming in today’s digital era cannot be overstated. Mobile applications have become a powerful tool for communication, business, and social change, and equipping students with the ability to develop their own apps opens new doors for innovation and entrepreneurship. Throughout the workshop, students explored the practical applications of Android development, learning how to create apps that could serve their communities, facilitate education, and solve everyday problems.

Mohajir Academy strongly believes that education is a fundamental right, and we are committed to bridging the digital divide for Afghan refugees, migrants, and girls deprived of formal schooling in Afghanistan. The Android App Programming Workshop is just one of many initiatives to empower Afghan youth through quality, accessible education. By providing technical skills and fostering digital literacy, we aim to create opportunities for employment, innovation, and self-sufficiency among Afghan learners and refugees.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Mostafa Hosseini for his dedication and exceptional teaching, as well as to all the students who actively participated and demonstrated a strong commitment to learning. Their engagement and enthusiasm throughout the workshop were truly inspiring.

Looking ahead, Mohajir Academy remains steadfast in its mission to provide educational programs that equip Afghan girls, migrants, and refugees with skills for the future. We will continue to expand our efforts in technology, language learning, and professional development to ensure that Afghan girls, migrants, and refugees have the knowledge and resources needed to build a brighter future.
